Passage #01: Matthew 22:37-40

“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You must love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.”

This passage from Matthew is one of the most famous passages in the Bible. It is often called the “Greatest Commandment.” And for good reason! This passage tells us that we must love God and love our neighbor. If we do these things, then we will be fulfilling all of the Law and the Prophets. This is some pretty good advice that can help us live better lives.

Passage #02: John 13:34-35

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

This passage from John is also known as the “Golden Rule.” It tells us that we should love one another. This is a pretty simple concept, but it can be very difficult to do. If we can learn to love other people, even those who are different from us, then the world will be a better place.

Passage #03: Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

This passage from Philippians is a great reminder that we can accomplish anything with God’s help. If we trust in Him and rely on His strength, then we can do anything that He calls us to do. This is a great passage to read when we are feeling overwhelmed or like we can’t do something.

Passage #04: Proverbs 16:24

“Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

This passage from Proverbs tells us that pleasant words are good for us. They can help to make us feel better and can even be good for our health. This is a great reminder to be mindful of the words that we speak. We should try to use kind and pleasant words as often as possible.

Passage #05: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

“Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it is good or evil.”

This passage from Ecclesiastes tells us that our duty as humans is to fear God and obey His commands. This can be a difficult thing to do, but it is important to remember that God sees everything we do. He knows our thoughts and our actions, and He will judge us accordingly. This is a good reminder to always try to do what is right in God’s eyes.

Passage #06: Isaiah 40:31

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Passage #09: Mark 12:30-31

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”

This passage from Mark is a great reminder of the two most important commandments. We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. And we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. This is a great reminder to always try to put others first and to love them as we love ourselves.

Passage #10: John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
