The Bible has a lot to say about war. Some people might be surprised by this since the Bible is often seen as a book of peace and love. However, when you read the Bible closely, you will see that it contains many passages about it. In this blog post, we will take a look at some of these verses. Let’s see what they have to say about this controversial topic.

What Does the Bible Say About War?

When it comes to war, the Bible is clear that it is not always a good thing. In fact, there are many verses that warn us about the dangers of it. For example, in Matthew 24:21-22, Jesus says: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” This passage tells us that war can lead to great suffering and even death. Therefore, we should be careful before we start a war.

However, the Bible also says that there are times when war is necessary. In Exodus 14:14, God tells Moses to tell the Israelites to “fight for their lives.” This shows that sometimes war is the only way to protect ourselves and our loved ones. We see a similar message in Joshua 24:15, where Joshua tells the Israelites to “choose this day whom you will serve.” In other words, sometimes we have to fight for what we believe in.

Final Thoughts

So, what does the Bible say about war? It is clear that war is not always a good thing, but there are times when it is necessary. We should be careful before we start a war, but if we do need to fight, we should do so for the right reasons. War can lead to great suffering, but it can also be a way to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to go to war is a complicated one, and the Bible has a lot to say about it. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
