Who is the god of love? This is a question that has been asked throughout history, and there are many different answers to this question. In this blog post, we will explore the mythology of Cupid, Eros, and Amor and try to determine who is the true god of love.

Gods of Love

Cupid is perhaps the most well-known god of love. He is often depicted as a winged cherub with a bow and arrow. according to Roman mythology, Cupid was the son of Venus, the goddess of love. He was said to be responsible for creating feelings of love and desire in people. However, his origins are actually quite dark. According to Roman mythology, Cupid was the son of Mars, the god of war. As a result, Cupid is often associated with violence and chaos. However, Cupid is also said to be the son of Venus, the goddess of love. This makes Cupid a complex figure, and it is difficult to say definitively who he is the god of.

Eros

Eros, on the other hand, was the Greek god of love. He was often depicted as a young man with wings. Eros was said to be the son of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Unlike Cupid, who was responsible for creating feelings of love, Eros was responsible for causing people to fall in love.

Amor

Lastly, there is Amor. Amor was the Roman god of love. He was often depicted as a young boy with wings. Similar to Eros, Amor was said to be the son of Venus. However, unlike Eros, who caused people to fall in love, Amor was responsible for creating feelings of love and desire in people.

So, who is the true God of love? That is up for debate. However, it seems that Cupid, Eros, and Amor all have a role to play in the mythology of love.
