When is Jesus returning? All I know is that it will be a glorious day. The Bible prophesies that there will be signs of his coming.

Are you watching for them?

In this article, we will discuss some of the most important Bible verses about Jesus Christ returning to the world.

We will also look at what prophecy says about his coming. If you want to be prepared for the return of our Lord and Savior, then this post is for you!

The Book of Matthew

when Jesus is returning

B

The Bible is clear that Jesus will return one day. In fact, the Bible says that he will come back “like a thief in the night.” (See Matthew 24:42-44.)

This suggests that no one will know exactly when he is coming. However, the Bible does give us some clues as to what we can expect in the days leading up to his return.

One of the most important prophecies about Jesus’ return is found in the book of Revelation. In Revelation, John describes a vision of Jesus Christ returning to earth.

This is what he says: “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” (Revelation 19:11-15).

What Does This Passage Say?

From this passage, we can learn some important things about Jesus’ return.

First, Jesus will return as a warrior. He will come to judge the world and make war against evil.

Second, Jesus will be victorious. He will overthrow all of his enemies and rule over them with an iron scepter.

Third, Jesus will return in great glory. He will be dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name will be the Word of God.

Fourth, Jesus will return with many followers. The armies of heaven will be with him, and they will ride on white horses.

Finally, Jesus will return to earth. He will come to the Mount of Olives, which is located east of Jerusalem.

The Bible also gives us clues about the events that will take place before Jesus returns. In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells his disciples to watch for certain signs.

He says, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matthew 24:

These signs indicate that we are living in the end times and that Jesus’ return is drawing near.

Book of Revelation

In addition to these signs, the Bible also tells us that there will be a worldwide revival before Jesus returns. In the book of Revelation, John says

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. ” (Revelation 22:17)

This passage indicates that there will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit before Jesus returns. People will be calling out to him, and many will receive the water of life.

Are you watching for Jesus’ return? The Bible says that no one knows the day or hour, but we can be sure that he is coming soon.

Stay faithful and look for the signs!
