If God exists, does he have any opinions? Theists generally believe that God is omniscient, which means He knows every true statement, but does this encompass God’s subjective views? Does the Almighty rate Monet above Picasso or Bach’s music above that of the Beatles? Is Gothic architecture divinely favored?
Does God Have Opinions?
God is the only one in existence who knows all there is to know about everything, and He also has infinite intelligence. Thus, His viewpoint is better than everyone else’s.
Since He made everything from scratch, any changes made to His creations would be considered modifications to anything that rightfully belongs to Him. In short, His opinion is what Creation is.
God’s Opinion is the Only Opinion That Matters

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” (Proverbs 29:25)
Making choices based on the opinions of others is a surefire way to set yourself up for failure.
You may not realize it, but worrying about what other people think is the single biggest source of stress in your life. Those overly concerned with what others think often follow the crowd even though they know it’s wrong. If you strive to please everyone, you make promises you can’t keep. This is a formula for disaster.
Peter Fears The Opinion Of Others
In part, Peter’s three denials of Jesus can be attributed to his anxiety about what other people would think of him. He cared more about people’s opinions than his faith in Jesus.
“But Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered and sat down with the guards to see the outcome. Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said. But he denied it before them all. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.” (Matthew 26:58, 69-70)
Peter had recently spent three years with the Son of God, the Messiah. But when he got the first opportunity to recognize this honor, he rejected Jesus instead. Peter was more concerned about what other folks thought that he was about affiliating with Christ.
Whose judgment do you value more than that of God? When you place another being above God, that person becomes your god. You’ve just set yourself up for failure by creating an idol.
The Devil Skews Our Thinking
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” (Genesis 3:1)
The opinion of God is the only one that counts. He has all knowledge, and His word is definitive. Our viewpoint and that of others can cloud our ability to grasp the Lord’s perspective. The worst kind of opinions is the ones that fail to acknowledge the absolute necessity of a Savior and instead exalt one’s own merits.
Opinions only carry any real weight when they are grounded in the Bible. That’s why it’s wise to keep our lips sealed until I know where the Lord stands on a given issue.
Satan plans to get us to doubt God so that he can deceive us. Is God saying that? Questions and mistrust are the devil’s tools.
Is it true that God commands us to love our adversaries and forgive those who wrong us? Give cheerfully and with thanksgiving? Additionally, has God commanded this?
Did God say, “Be excellent in what you do”? Is it true that God told you to become like your companions? Does the Bible truly teach that Jesus Christ is necessary for salvation? If your heart is troubled by anything, the words of God should put your mind at ease.
“I will listen to what God the Lord says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly.” (Psalm 85:8)
Are you feeling torn between two opposing viewpoints? Many people hold divergent views, but few choose to follow Christ. As a devout follower of Christ, you could value chastity. The world will tell you that you’re dumb if you choose not to live with your prospective spouse before getting married, but the Lord’s wisdom will tell you that you’re ignorant if you do.
However, you know that gossip is detrimental to human relationships and therefore forbidden by God. Drop false beliefs and refine your thinking to align with Jesus’ teachings.
Do you struggle with how you perceive yourself?
The devil tells you that you must be peculiar among God’s creation, or else you won’t succeed. The hellhounds chase you with untruths: you are not attractive enough. You aren’t that bright. It is the spiritual depth you lack. You are not wealthy enough.
Thankfully, the approval of your Heavenly Father is all that matters. He says this: I adore you; you are, My dear. Yes, I made you specifically for yourself. You are a special child of Mine. The weight, influence, and power of sin have been carried away. You are My handiwork, created specifically to carry out My plans. Celebrate and accept My judgment of you.
What Is God’s Opinion Of Us?

We may find reminders of God’s unending love for us all across the pages of Scripture. Actually, the Bible is essentially God’s love letter to humanity. You can feel His love and perspective for us oozing from every page. Additionally, some passages about God’s perspective on His offspring are included below.
- “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” (Isaiah 43:4)
The Lord holds us in high regard and considers us to be irreplaceable. He cares for us so passionately that he’d give up a whole kingdoms if it meant saving us.
- “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:13-14)
That’s pretty neat, right? Before we were conceived, God had a plan for each of us. He meticulously crafted our appearance, personalities, and abilities. The very thought of that is mind-boggling.
- “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Those who put their faith in Christ are reborn as new people. All of our sins, no matter how terrible we may feel they are, are completely erased from His books. We’re spotless, like freshly fallen snow.
- “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love, He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
God has infinite love for us. He finds great excitement in being in our company and participating in our pursuits. He delights in seeing us follow the dreams He has planted in our hearts.
