Friendship is one of the most important relationships in our lives. It is a bond that can connect us to people we have never met, and it can last through thick and thin. The Bible has a lot to say about friendship, and these are the top 5 passages that touch on what it means to be friends with others.

Proverbs 18:24 says, “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” This passage speaks to the importance of quality over quantity when it comes to friendships. It is better to have a few close friends who will stick by you no matter what than to have many acquaintances who may not be there for you when you need them the most.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” This passage speaks to the importance of having someone in your life who you can rely on. Having a friend to help you through tough times is one of the most valuable things in life.

Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” This passage speaks to the idea that true friends will always be there for you, even when times are tough. They will help you through the good times and the bad times.

John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” This passage speaks to the idea that true friends are willing to sacrifice everything for the people they care about. They would do anything to see their friends happy and safe.

Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” This passage speaks to the idea that friends can help make each other better people. They can challenge each other and push each other to be the best that they can be.
