  • Talk to someone you trust about your feelings. It can be helpful to talk to someone who will understand and support you. This could be a friend, family member, or even a counselor.
  • Identify your reasons for wanting to quit. Once you know why you’re feeling the urge to quit, you can start to address those issues head-on. Are you feeling disconnected from the community? Do you feel like you’re not being challenged spiritually? Are you just going through a difficult season in life?
  • Pray about it. Ask God to help you stay committed to your church despite the challenges.
  • You must get involved. One of the best ways to combat feelings of isolation and disconnection is to get involved in your church. Join a small group or volunteer for a ministry that interests you.
  • Talk to your pastor. If you’re struggling, your pastor wants to know! He or she can provide guidance and support as you navigate these challenges.
