The Bible is filled with verses that can help us in our daily lives. Today, we are going to focus on verses that can help reduce stress. Stress can be a huge killer, both physically and mentally. It can cause all sorts of problems in our lives, including health problems, relationship issues, and financial troubles. The good news is that the Bible has some great advice for how to deal with stress!

Here are ten Bible verses to help reduce stress.

Proverbs 16:24

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

This verse is a reminder that our words matter. We can use our words to build others up or tear them down. When we focus on speaking kind and encouraging words, it can help reduce stress in our own lives as well as in the lives of those around us.

Proverbs 12:25

“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.”

This verse goes hand-in-hand with the previous one. When we are stressed, it can be easy to focus on all of the negative things in our lives. However, this verse reminds us that a good word can make us glad and help reduce our stress levels.

Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

This is one of my favorite verses when it comes to stress relief. Jesus promises us that if we come to Him, He will give us rest. We don’t have to carry our burdens alone – He is always there for us.

Psalm 46:11

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

This is such a simple, but powerful verse. It reminds us that no matter how chaotic our lives may seem, God is still in control. When we take a step back and focus on Him, it can help reduce the stress in our lives.

Philippians 4:6

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

This verse is a great reminder that we can take our anxieties and stresses to God in prayer. He wants us to come to Him with all of our concerns and He will help us through whatever we are facing.

Proverbs 14:30

“A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot.”

This verse is a reminder that envy and jealousy can lead to all sorts of problems in our lives, including stress. When we focus on what others have, it can take away from the joy we have in our own lives.

Proverbs 15:13

“A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.”

This verse goes along with the previous one. When we focus on the positive things in our lives, it will show in our faces and attitudes. However, when we focus on the negative, it will bring us down and increase our stress levels.

Proverbs 17:22

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

This verse is another reminder of how important it is to focus on the positive. A joyful heart can do wonders for our physical and mental health. However, a crushed spirit will only lead to more stress and problems down the road.

Isaiah 26:12

“O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have also wrought all our works in us.”

This is a great verse to remember when we are feeling stressed. God is the one who ordains peace in our lives. He is the one who works all things for our good. When we focus on Him, it can help reduce the stress in our lives.

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It reminds us that even though we may not know what the future holds, God does. He has good plans for us and He wants to give us hope. When we focus on Him, it can help reduce the stress and anxiety we may be feeling about the future.
